Our Processes

Before we become involved in the recovery of a debt, the debtor will have been sent several letters and forms by the Client, or – in the case of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) – a Traffic Enforcement Centre (TEC), which will also issue a “Warrant of Control”.

In the case of Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates, please contact the client directly, if you don’t believe that you owe the debt we are recovering.

If you are disputing a PCN, please contact us immediately by telephone or letter.

Enforcement action will continue until the debt is paid in full to Bristow & Sutor. Please do not send payments directly to the client as these may not count towards the debt or stop our recovery action.

By law, we have the right to take a debtor’s goods and sell them by public auction to pay off the debt. Paying us the debt in full will stop this happening.
