In this blog, we reflect on how our partnership with The Money Charity helps us to support our clients, customers, and colleagues more effectively.
Bristow & Sutor Group has a long history of working with charities, including holding fundraising events, volunteering, and sponsoring local youth football teams. In 2021, we reviewed our charitable giving and decided we could have a greater impact by identifying a formal charity partner.
The Money Charity were a clear choice. Their vision, that everyone achieves financial wellbeing by managing their money well, mirrors our purpose, to change the face of debt resolution. We understand that financial capability is a key contributor to problem debt, leading to financial hardship.
Our partnership with The Money Charity has run for three years. For Bristow & Sutor Group, this has been a period of significant growth and change. Across the group, we now handle in excess of three million cases per year, involving over two million individual customers. For The Money Charity, it has been a very important time, with 2024 marking their 30th birthday, as well as the milestone of 300,000 young people reached by their workshops.
In that time, our contributions have helped them to reach 2,874 people, delivering in excess of 125 hours of workshops. The sessions we funded reached children and adults from Yorkshire to Hampshire, in schools, colleges, community groups, and more. Many of these sessions have formed part of the Social Value we are so proud to deliver in our clients’ communities.
But our relationship is not about funding alone. Rather, we have formed a genuine partnership, marked most recently by the appointment of The Money Charity’s CEO, Michelle Highman, to our Independent Advisory Panel. This appointment gives our Group the opportunity to learn from Michelle’s experience, as she provides feedback and constructive criticism on all areas of our operations.
In 2024, we’re excited to announce that we have confirmed a further three-year partnership with The Money Charity, giving us the opportunity to further develop our partnership and support each other to grow and improve. Imagine what we’ll be reporting in 2027!
