You will be contacting debtors and meeting them at their premises to seize (list) their goods and negotiate payment of their debts. Working on your own initiative, this position suits persistent individuals with good interpersonal skills and an enquiring mind. A confident, courteous but persuasive manner and a desire to achieve results in difficult circumstances can reap significant financial rewards. A full driving licence is essential, as is the ability to travel and navigate on occasions long distances each day. Duties include answering high volume incoming calls to the department, checking of Itinerary Sheets, control of departmental purchase invoices, processing credit card payments for bailiffs and liaising with personnel regarding bailiff holidays and sickness.
